| RECORD OF DECISION
A positive Record of Decision, issued on 4 November 2009, was issued
by the Department of Environmental Affairs. The Record of Decision
was issued under the Environmental Conservation Act. The following

Parties on 5-6 November 2009

Finalisation of EIA Process
As of Monday 7 December 2009, no appeals against the Record of Decision
had been received by DEAT.
In this light, the Record of Decision became a binding authorisation
to proceed with the construction and operation phases of the Raising
of the Hazelmere Dam.
Implementation will be carried out internally by the Department of
Water Affairs during the course of 2010/2011.
